Top 10 Dance Tunes Of 2012 That You Should Have Heard Or Possess
‘Tear The Club Up’ by Gosteffects – Monolith Remix
Initially beginning to that of a Pet Shop Boys track from the eighties. It grows harmoniously in a choir-esque barrage of hammering chainsaw-stabbering mids in an aggressive, marching melody. Absolutely pounding stuff. @monolith4ever is definitely one to watch or listen out for in 2013. It’s all like this.
‘Slam Dunk’ by Specimen A – Stoneway Remix
To have in excess of a media following on Soundcloud over 120k, @Specimen_A with his links to mau5trap, Konami and at Funkatech his attraction by fellow producers is becoming overwhelming but @Stonewayfr has been given the debut introduction into Funkatech and with explosive French Electro infused results. Wonderfully work!
‘I Was There’ by Meat Katie
A journey. A mission through the clubland barrier of breaking through into your mental state where you don’t give a monkeys and want to dance forever. @Meatkatie delivers a brilliant emotional composition for the heady of lustful dance surrealists. I have it here.

‘Get Funky’ by Habstrakt
One guy has really rocked my filthy minded world this year and it is French Glitch Hop wizard @Habstrakt. This free download even managed to top the Beatport Charts the majority of Summer 2012. People still paid for the free download and they kept it at number one for months!?!? Brilliant! I love this record!
‘Tyven’ by Seven Lions
A ridiculous year for the Beatport remixer winner who has gone nebula sized leaps and bounds and this is in my opinion one of the best tracks of the year and the most wondrous of dubstep records to have ever graced the digital charts. It’ll blow your God damn mind! The bass is phenomenally moving, it’s adorable. 2013 will make @Sevenlionsmusic almost “household”.
‘600 Years’ by Far Too Loud
As an artist and producer you always have to ensure that you progress and over the last few years Oli Cash aka @Far_Too_Loud has not done anything other than progress. A star in Europe. A fresh legend in Brazil. And then he creates this absolute monster of a tune! Stunning level of electronic freneticism with plenty of girth.
‘Magnetic Eyes ft Baby Blue’ by Matrix & Futurebound – Pyramid Remix
It just happens that it’s out today – check it out. Incredibly envious of the talents of all concerned with their production techniques to mange to bring to us such energy, such oomph, it’s a treasure and this is one of the best tunes of 2013 already. Being privy to this release, I first heard it and almost spontaneously combusted. What a marcher! The combination of @matrixandfuture with @pyramid_breaks is sweet soul music.
‘Acid Lake’ by Le Marchand de Sable The John Lord Fonda Edit
Sometimes every so often a diamond filters through the spam mountains of dire trash and you get a tune such as this relentless escapism of organic like techno delights from this John Lord Fonda remix. I genuinely couldn’t believe it was a freebie from the purchasable EP. Probably the find of the year for French Electro lovers. It warms my cockles. @wearelmds and @JohnLordFonda.

‘Heads Up’ by Bassnectar – The Glitch Mob Remix
Arguably the tune of the year and I’ll challenge it ’til the dawn of a new time, but this is sickeningly excellent. Goosebumps on skin. Wet patches on the floor. An incredible producer is Lorin @Bassnectar and for such a twist on his work by @TheGlitchMob just becomes one of the best tracks ever let alone the last 12 months. More Bassnectar.

‘Blinded By The Light’ by Smooth
Sometimes every now and then the emotional dance music lovers amongst us come across a record that simply unleashes all negativity just through the vibration from the speakers we are hearing. This is an astonishing DnB record from @lukasmooth who has my cap dothed to him for creating this composition of fantastic wonder. The outstanding drum and bass record of the year by far. Emotionally invigorating, fantastic fun and what a bloody marvelous melody throughout. Outstanding.
